PT-141, also known as Bremelanotide, is a synthetic peptide analog of α-MSH (alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone). It acts primarily as a non-selective melanocortin receptor agonist, targeting MC3R and MC4R. Research has focused on PT-141 for its effects on sexual arousal, libido, and erectile function, independent of the nitric oxide pathway.
